This is a special event honoring missing and murdered Native Americans (MMNA) to commemorate President Biden’s 2021 proclamation on Missing and Murdered American Indian and Alaska Native Awareness Day.
This event will include a ceremony to add the names of MMNA victims, as submitted by impacted families and Native and Tribal communities, to a memorial shawl.
The event has been developed collaboratively by the Department of Health and Human Service, Administration for Children and Families, Administration for Native Americans and the Presidential Task Force on Missing and Murdered Native Americans - Operation Lady Justice.
