Help Us Find More Heroes. Promote the Campaign.

“Thank you doesn’t seem like a big enough word because donors have virtually given me my life back.” Quote from Brenda.

Every day, people across the country need blood. Help us spread the word about the importance of blood donation and encourage more Americans to donate. The more donors there are, the more lives we can save. Here are some ideas.

  • Include information in your newsletter or send information through your other outreach channels, such as email, using our prewritten content.
  • Draft a blog post for your website about the importance of blood donation. Use this content as a starting point.
  • Post about the campaign on your social media channels using these messages and graphics.
  • Share our testimonial videos featuring real stories from people saved by blood donations.
  • Reach out to your local radio station and ask them to read this script live on air. We also have pre-recorded PSAs they can air.
  • Download, print, and distribute these fact sheets. Topics range from the donation process to donation types to eligibility.
  • Work with a local blood center to host a blood drive. The drive can be for your employees or for members of your community. Ask local businesses, fitness centers, grocery stores, colleges and universities, libraries, faith-based organizations, and others to co-host to reach even more people. Check out these tips and tools for organizing a blood from the American Red Cross.
