You and the 2015 Health Datapalooza Should Meet

Summary:
If you are interested and geeky about technology, big data (or the idea of it), innovation and/or health, you really won't want to miss the 2015 Health Datapalooza in Washington, DC.

Hi there. If you don't know each other yet, please meet our friend - the Health Datapalooza. If you are interested and geeky about technology, big data (or the idea of it), innovation and/or health, you really won't want to miss the 2015 Health Datapalooza in Washington, DC. You will hear from and connect with thought leaders, innovators and game-changers in the health data space, and have an opportunity to attend dynamic educational sessions and workshops. The Health Datapalooza began in 2010 as part of IDEA Lab's very own Health Data Initiative. It started as a small gathering at the National Institutes of Health, of leaders from the White House, federal agencies, academia, and key stakeholders in the private and public sector hosted by the Department of Health and Human Services and the Institute of Medicine, to catalyze the formation of a new community health data initiative. Last year, more than 2,000 technology experts, entrepreneurs, policy makers, health care system leaders, and community advocates convened in Washington, DC to unleash the power of health data as fuel for all kinds of positive health care transformations. The growth and popularity of the Health Datapalooza, hosted by the Health Data Consortium (HDC), speaks to the increasing demand for more in depth conversations about health data, and the unique opportunities that the Health Datapalooza offers, the special sauce if you will. What's in this special sauce you ask? We can't give it all away (you will find out soon enough), but here are some compelling ingredients in the 2015 Health DataPalooza:

  • Keynotes You Don't Want to Miss: HHS Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell, Bruce Broussard, President and CEO of Humana, and Dr. DJ Patil, Chief Data Scientist and Deputy Chief Technology Officer for Data Policy, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy are just a few of the featured speakers at this year's event talking about the future of health data.
  • Outstanding Substance & Sessions:People come back to the Health Datapalooza because it consistently offers rich and useful content in its programming. It just keeps getting better.. From learning about ground-breaking technologies utilizing big data to save money, improve care, and disrupt the status quo, to a bootcamp for healthcare entrepreneurs - there's great stuff for everyone to take in.
  • Unprecedented Meeting of Key Players: It's not often that you get direct access to agencies who provide data resources, developers and key thought leaders in every single sector and together, talking about health data and its future. In fact, this may not happen anywhere else. So yeah, that's huge.

There's much more to this annual health data lovefest, but you've gotta be there to take it all in, and meet each other in person. We hope you do.
