Initiatives

The Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs (IEA) serves as the principal liaison between the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and officials of state, tribal and local governments, and non-governmental organizations. Through these relationships, IEA serves as a link between HHS and diverse communities throughout the country. As part of strengthening IEA’s communication with its partners, it has developed various ways to provide timely and accurate information about HHS initiatives and polices.

Initiatives:

The Center for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives (The Partnership Center): Learn how the Partnership Center works to build partnerships between government and community and faith-based organizations, which help HHS serve individuals, families and communities in need.
