Executive Steering Committee

The BUYSMARTER ESC is the primary governing and decision-making body for BUYSMARTER. The ESC drives the direction of BUYSMARTER, approves the roadmap, sets the overall BUYSMARTER strategy, and makes contract/ purchase recommendations and decisions for HHS as a whole via a voting process.

HHS BUYSMARTER Executive Steering Committee Voting Members include: The Heads of Contracting Activity (HCA), Programmatic leader from each participating OPDIV and STAFFDIV, a representative from the HHS office of Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA), and The Senior Procurement Executive (SPE). Non-Voting Member icon which includes a voting box with a ballot with an X. HHS BUYSMARTER Executive Steering Committee Non-Voting Members include: Chief Information Officers (CIOs) representatives, budget representatives, finance representatives, scientific representatives (Subject Matter Experts), additional advisory groups as needed, and Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) representatives.
