Speakers include leaders from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Hidden Casualties: National Partners' Response to the Opioid Epidemic & Infectious Diseases – Part 2

The HHS Office of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Disease Policy hosted the second of the two webinars, Hidden Casualties: National Partners' Response to the Opioid Epidemic & Infectious Diseases that discussed the impact of the opioid crisis on infectious diseases and shared examples of what national and local partners are doing to respond. Participating organizations included the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA), National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD), National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), and National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable (NVHR).

Hidden Casualties: National Partners' Response to the Opioid Epidemic & Infectious Diseases – Part 1

The Office of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Diseases Policy hosted two webinars that follow the themes introduced last October during the first Hidden Casualties event. The continuation of this series, Hidden Casualties: National Partners' Response to the Opioid Epidemic & Infectious Diseases webinars discussed the impact of the opioid crisis on infectious diseases and shared examples of what national and local partners are doing to respond. Participating organizations included the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), and National Governors Association (NGA).

HIV/HCV Co-infection: An AETC National Curriculum

The goal of this curriculum is to provide an evidence-based online curriculum for healthcare providers and trainers of healthcare providers to increase their knowledge on human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) co-infection among people of color in the United States and its territories Topics covered include prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment recommendations as well as barriers and other co-factors that may impede optimal treatment outcomes for co-infected people of color.
