Scaling up NHANES Genetic Program
Executive Summary
This team’s vision is to encourage further research at the intersection of genetics and public health using the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). NHANES is a combination of interview and examination surveys that provide national estimates of the health and nutritional status of the U.S. civilian non-institutionalized population. This team from the National Center for Health Statistics proposes the development of a user-friendly searchable database, with a web interface, and detailed information per variable to optimize the information researchers need to achieve their goals.
