2021

November 30 – December 1, 2021 Virtual Public Meeting

The 19th PACCARB public meeting will be held virtually on November 30th and December 1st. The first day will be focused on global efforts to combat AMR, including updates from the Global Leaders Group (GLG) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The first day will also include a presentation from the National Academies on their recent report titled “Examining the Long-term Health and Economic Effects of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in the United States”. The second day will include presentations focused on addressing AMR within pandemic preparedness planning, including strengthening public health and agriculture systems, ensuring situational awareness, and transforming medical defenses.

Public Comment

To send a written statement, please e-mail CARB@hhs.gov. Public comments should be sent in by midnight November 29, 2021 and should be limited to no more than one page. All public comments received prior to November 29, 2021, will be provided to Advisory Council members and will be acknowledged during the public teleconference, while also being posted online.

To sign up for an oral statement, please register at this link and select Yes under the Public Comments section. After registering, you will receive additional instructions for providing public comment during the virtual meeting. You must register by November 29, 2021 as slots are limited.
