Vacancy Announcement for Position(s) in OHRP

The Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP), within the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is recruiting for a policy program analyst position in its Division of Policy and Assurances. OHRP provides leadership in the protection of the rights, welfare, and well-being of subjects involved in research conducted or supported by HHS. OHRP helps to ensure this by providing clarification and guidance, developing educational programs and materials, maintaining regulatory oversight, and providing advice on ethical and regulatory issues in biomedical and socio-behavioral research. 

A primary responsibility of OHRP’s Division of Policy and Assurances (DPA) is to develop policy and guidance documents related to the HHS regulations for the protection of human subjects (45 CFR part 46).  To that end, the following position is located in the DPA with a duty location in Rockville, Maryland:
 

  • Policy Program Analyst
  • Pay scale and grade: GS 12-13
  • Salary:  $86,335 to $133,465 per year
