New Employee Orientation

Welcome to the Department of Health and Human Services!

We’re glad you are pursuing a career in the Office of the Secretary (OS) at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). At HHS, it is our mission to enhance the health and well-being of all Americans, by providing for effective health and human services and by fostering sound, sustained advances in the sciences underlying medicine, public health, and social services.

Attending the Virtual New Employee Orientation (NEO)

Newly hired employees in OS attend the virtual orientation hosted by the Staffing, Recruitment & Operations Center (SROC) in the Office of Human Resources (OHR). This NEO guide helps you complete the required forms and tasks related to the onboarding process before your virtual orientation. This information is also included in the offer letter you received from SROC.

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, SROC conducts virtual orientations on the first Monday of every pay period in order to practice social distancing and ensure the safety of all new hires and staff.
