Maternal Health
HHS is taking steps to pursue systemic policies that will provide comprehensive, holistic maternal health carefree from bias and discrimination.

Mental Health and Youth

Overdose Prevention
We can prevent overdoses and save lives by ensuring equitable access to essential health care and support services without stigma.
- Learn more about the HHS Overdose Prevention Strategy which expands the scope of the crisis response beyond opioids to include other substances that are often involved in overdoses, including stimulants such as methamphetamine and cocaine.

Suicide Prevention
Suicide is a major public health concern. Suicide is among the leading causes of death in the United States. Based on recent mortality data, suicide in some populations is on the rise.

Reentry Populations
Individuals, families, and communities served by HHS programs are affected by high rates of incarceration. HHS initiatives that target this population encompass a range of human services, health, and behavioral health services.
