The Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ)

HHS established the Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ) in response to President Biden’s Executive Order Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad. The Office’s mission is to protect the health of disadvantaged communities and vulnerable populations on the frontlines of pollution, and other environmental hazards that affect health. The office will sit in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health’s Office of Climate Change and Health Equity (OCCHE).
