Sarah Arbes

Assistant Secretary for Legislation (ASL)

Sarah is the Assistant Secretary for Legislation where she serves as principal advisor to the Secretary with respect to all aspects of the Department's legislative agenda and Congressional liaison activities.

Previously, Sarah served as vice president for the Business Roundtable, Legislative Assistant for Senator Mitch McConnell, and was Deputy Health Policy Director to the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2001 and earned her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
