Where can I find good child care?
You may have a local child care "resource and referral" agency available to you to provide:
- Information on the availability of child care in in your area,
- Help determining what to look for in choosing quality child care, and
- Information on financial assistance and funding opportunities.
These agencies help families find the child care provider that will best connect families with child care resources in the local community. For additional information on resource and referral agencies, contact Child Care Aware at 1-800-424-2246 (TTY#: 1-866-278-9428). You can enter your zip code in the "Child Care Connector" on the right side of the home page to find the nearest child care resource and referral agency.
To find out about financial assistance for child care, contact your State and Territory child care subsidy agency contacts who administer the Child Care and Development Fund. The agency will provide you with information about eligibility and how to apply for assistance.
