HHS Awards Grants for Enrollment Assistance Projects

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Population Affairs announced five new Enrollment Assistance awards totaling $906,000. These projects will enable Title X grantees to initiate or expand activities that facilitate enrollment of eligible clients into affordable health insurance coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace, Medicaid, CHIP, or other local programs.

The Enrollment Assistance grant awards listed below are based on the FY 2015 budget and provide funding for a one-year project beginning August 1, 2015.

Award: $200,000

Grantee: Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, Inc.
Location: New Haven, CT
Title X Service Area: State of Connecticut
Award: $130,000

Grantee: Planned Parenthood of the Columbia Willamette
Location: Portland, OR
Title X Service Area: Multnomah County, OR
Award: $177,000
