In response to a greater need for flexibility and access to COVID-19 testing in Miami, the Department of Health and Human Services is launching a pilot point-of-care testing effort that aims to meet individuals at high risk for COVID-19 where they reside. This effort will provide free point-of-care testing to some of our country’s most vulnerable populations.

Communities in Miami are continuing to see significant increases in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations and could benefit from testing vulnerable populations and individuals who may be at high risk.

Low-income families and senior citizens will receive free COVID-19 testing at their homes with results available in less than one hour. It is critical for these communities to receive their test results immediately in order to prevent further spread of COVID-19. This initiative will test up to 200 residents per day for 10 days and will start this week.
