Christopher Tisi was appointed to serve as a member of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition. Mr. Tisi is an entrepreneur and strategic business leader with over 25 years of experience. He founded Health and Nutrition Systems (HNS) in 1992. As President and Chief Executive Officer of HNS, he developed a host of nutritional wellness products and programs that are found in major retail locations throughout the United States and around the world.
He partnered with a Dallas-based private equity firm in 2014, and together they purchased the brand SlimFast. Mr. Tisi currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the combined entities. A leading brand in the diet and nutrition industry for over 40 years, SlimFast has helped millions of Americans live healthier lives.
In 2006, Tisi founded Supplemental Knowledge, a strategic consulting & investment firm that operates in the wellness, tech, and multimedia sectors; the firm educates both the business community and consumers on important health and wellness initiatives. Its division, W.I.N.C. (Women in Nutrition Careers) focuses on providing business funding and career development opportunities for women and women-owned businesses.
On a more personal note, Mr. Tisi is committed to finding a cure for Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), and his philanthropic efforts include being a major benefactor of the Mayo Clinic. Chris hopes to bring his experience, business relationships, and passion for health and wellness to the President’s Council on which he is so honored to serve.
