Matthew Hesse

Corporate CEO and U.S. Army Veteran

Matt Hesse was appointed to serve as a member of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition.  Matt Hesse is the Founder and CEO of Corr-Jensen, Inc., a portfolio of health and performance brands. With a unique strategy that includes what he calls the “Virtuous Circle,” Matt connects his team, his brands, and his customers to drive purpose driven causes ultimately creating sustainability and growth for all.

Fitness has always been Matt’s passion - both in practice and in study. After fracturing his neck wrestling, Matt made the most of the downtime and dedicated himself to learning everything he could about exercise, nutrition, and supplementation. After completing four years in the Army, Matt not only solidified his belief in the importance of exercise in daily life, but saw how discipline, service, and hard work are core values that transcend every facet of our lives.

At the heart of Matt’s company is the “Virtuous Circle,” built on the belief that some of a brand’s financial success is invested in purpose-driven causes that engage communities and employees at the heart-level. This in turn drives customer loyalty and employee retention, with increased brand reputation being a secondary benefit. Matt created the FitOps Foundation, which provides veterans with a full scholarship to become National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainers and helps them start new careers in the fitness industry. As a result, Corr-Jensen employees, customers and vendors all support and feel a personal ownership that the work they do together is greater than the products they make.
