  • Public Comment Period on Draft STI Plan: Stakeholders were encouraged to comment on the draft STI Plan before its official release in September 2020. The public comment period closed at 5:00 p.m., ET on October 1, 2020. 
  • Assistant Secretary for Health Highlights STI Federal Action Plan: As STI rates continue to rise in the United States, the Assistant Secretary for Health discussed the importance of reversing this upward trend and how the STI Plan will guide the federal response to this issue.   • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Releases 2018 Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Surveillance Report: In October 2019, CDC released the latest data on key STD trends in the United States.
