10th Anniversary of the National Plan to Address Alzheimer’s Disease

May 2022 marks the 10th Anniversary of the first National Plan to Address Alzheimer’s Disease. Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia affect an estimated 6 million Americans. The National Plan has accelerated federal activities, galvanized federal and non-federal partners, and significantly improved coordination, collaboration, and innovation on Alzheimer’s disease. Quarterly Meeting of the Advisory Council on Alzheimer’s Research, Care, and Services Celebrated federal accomplishments, a panel presented recent research on biomarkers and therapeutics, the Dementia Nomenclature Initiative presented an update, and the meeting included a panel of presentations about dementia risk reduction.
