The Office of Health Equity (OHE) assists Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) with information on HRSA programs and funding opportunities, and inform them of our efforts to promote health equity.
We work to:
- Enhance communication to MSIs about HRSA opportunities,
- Increase faculty, administrator, and/or staff representation from MSIs on HRSA review panels, and
- Build an effective relationship with MSIs to ensure they know about our commitment to assisting with their needs.
Our existing relationships across HRSA bureau and office programs help them meet their needs. We also develop specialized technical assistance for eligible MSIs to increase knowledge about the application process and available funding opportunities.
In addition, we encourage diverse representation on our grant review panels. MSIs are uniquely positioned to provide this diversity as well as subject matter expertise.
Through participation in the review process, MSIs can gain a better understanding of how we evaluate grant applications.
