Office of Women’s Health Webinars

The Office of Women’s Health (OWH) hosts periodic webinars to highlight important topics in women’s health. In 2021, OWH launched the Women’s Health Leadership webinar series, which features public health experts, including HRSA grantees and stakeholders, spotlighting emerging issues and innovations in women’s health across the lifespan.

  • In recognition of the 2022 observance of Cervical Health Awareness Month, HRSA's Office of Women's Health (OWH) partnered with HRSA OGH to host a webinar sharing recent innovations in cervical health, including the Federal Cervical Cancer Collaborative led by HRSA OWH and lessons learned from U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) HRSA-funded global implementing partners.

Addressing the Unique Needs of Black Women with HIV (link is external)  | March 2021 Webinar Transcript (PDF - 132 KB)

  • Co-hosted by the HRSA Office of Women's Health and the HRSA HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB).
  • In recognition of the 2021 observance of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, HRSA's Office of Women's Health partnered with HAB to host a panel discussion on the special vulnerabilities and hidden drivers behind higher HIV rates among Black women. The panel highlighted data and findings from a HAB Technical Expert Panel focused on improving HIV prevention and treatment services for Black women, shared stories from the perspective of the lived experience, and discussed HRSA-funded interventions for Black women with HIV.

  • Hosted by the HRSA Office of Women’s Health with guest speakers Rebecca Perkins, MD of Boston Medical Center, and Sue Ghosh, MD of East Boston Neighborhood Health Center.
  • Guidance for implementation of new clinical guidelines for cervical cancer screening and management during the COVID-19 pandemic. These guidelines were developed as part of a consensus effort involving several clinical organizations, Federal agencies, and patient representatives.

  • Caring for Women with Opioid Use Disorder: A Toolkit for Organization Leaders and Providers was developed by the HRSA Office of Women's Health, with support from the HHS Office on Women's Health. The toolkit provides resources and information to bolster care coordination services for women with opioid use disorder. The webinar covers the three focus areas of the toolkit and how to navigate the toolkit to find relevant resources.
