Today, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is announcing that HRSA’s Office of Information Technology was the recent recipient of The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council’s (ACT-IAC) award for its new Data Analytics Platform.

The Data Analytics Platform vastly speeds up the grant-making and management process for HRSA’s more than 3,000 grantees; improves financial accountability; enhances program integrity and oversight; and reduces human error and data silos.

“This first of its kind breakthrough platform automates millions of records in HRSA’s now $9 billion portfolio of programs, “said HRSA Administrator George Sigounas, MS, Ph.D. “The selection of this data analytics platform for this award is a great example of how HRSA is producing cutting edge innovations that will hopefully lead to better collaboration across the agency and the Department, and increased efficiency in agency operations.”

Led by HRSA’s Chief Information Officer, Adriane Burton, a team of 25 staffers took part in the project.

“This project was initially selected from 150 highly technical exhibits submitted by agencies and organizations across the nation,” said Ms. Burton.  “We were honored to be one of the 8 finalists and thrilled to be the winner of this important award.”

A non-profit partnership first established in 1979, ACT-IAC assists government in using information technology to streamline operations. HRSA received the honor at ACT-IAC’s recent Igniting Innovation 2018 Conference – their annual event to identify best innovations to improve services to citizens and government.
