Biography
Jordan Grossman was named Chief of Staff of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, in February 2021.
Most recently, Grossman was a candidate for City Council in Washington, DC, and worked for Co-Equal, a nonprofit that supports members of Congress and their staffs in preparing for hearings, drafting legislation, and conducting effective oversight in order to protect and advance health, environmental, and consumer protection policies and programs.
During the Obama-Biden Administration, Grossman served as Chief of Staff for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Grossman has also served as Deputy Legislative Director for Senator Amy Klobuchar, where he oversaw the legislative staff and the health, education, and labor portfolios, as well as Program Manager of a new division of Washington, DC’s Medicaid agency, which was charged with managing the transition to a new integrated eligibility and enrollment system for federally and locally-funded benefit programs, including medical, cash, food, energy, and housing assistance.
Earlier in his career, Grossman worked for the Secretary of Homeland Security, Judge Christopher R. Cooper of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition Team, and Obama for America.
Grossman graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Law School, and lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and son.
